🚨NBO 2025 Registrations are NOW OPEN! 🚨
The Pirates/Raptors Floorball Clubs have combined and are sending several teams to this years Northern Beaches Open (NBO) in Sydney, AustrAustralia’s premier floorball tournament. This will be held at Hills Basketball Stadium, Castle Hill, Sydney. Teams from around Australia and New Zealand will be playing. This will be a fun trip and an excellent opportunity to develop our club's floorball. The tournament will be from 4th to 6th October, with travel from 3rd to 7th October. We have been fortunate enough to secure a hold on a range of accommodation at Mantra Castle Hill, Sydney.
We will be sending teams in the following divisions:
Elite Men – Summer League Div 1/2 quality
Elite Women – Summer League Div 1
Mixed Development – Summer League Div 2/3 quality
Mixed U16 – (As of 1/1/25)
Mixed U12 – (As of 1/1/25)
We will try to organise training sessions and create an atmosphere that will bring us all together and allow us to enjoy the sport of floorball. With dedicated coaches and great admin staff, this tournament will not only be a fun weekend for all involved, but will also help grow your floorball ability.

Grand Final Wrap.
The day was filled with triumph and heartbreak for our teams.
First up our Womens 2s faced off against the Sharks. Both teams had clearly been the top all year wth previous games going either way. The Sharks struck first with a lucky goal but this was countered quickly by our girls. From then on it was all one way with our girls being dominant with the result ending in a 5:1 win! Outstanding first win for this team having been unlucky in the past few finals.
Next was our Mens 2's. The 'White' team had been dominant all year and were certainly favorites for the match with their star studded line up. Unfortunately teams have a bad day every now and then and this just happened to be in the Grand Final. Full credit to the Roosters Floorball Club who came to play and took it to our boys with some great teamwork. The loss will only make them more hungry for next year.
We also need to mention the U16's Grand Final, played a week ago where our combined Raptors/Pirates team made easy work of the Lambs.
Overall 2 division wins and a second for the season.

The Grand Final of the U16s was held on Friday night where the combined Raptors/Pirates team handed out a floorball lesson. The team was undefeated the whole season nd easily put the Lambs out to pasture in the GF winning 5:2.
Awesome skills and teamwork were on display. There are certainly some players of the future to watch here.

An important last round of floorball on the weekend where our 3s faced off against the Lambs. Both teams have been strong all year with us sitting in 4th and them 5th. The winner f the game was to progress to the finals with the other team out for the season!
In a game well beyond 3's standard neither side gave an inch. The end result being a 4:4 draw which was enough for us to progress to the finals next week!

Round 15 featured 3 out of 4 Raptors sides winning this last weekend - M2 orange just missing out narrowly on points against the Lemon Sharks side.
This week we see all of our squads back in action as we have a Raptors day down at Revo in the morning and our Women’s 2 finishing off the day at Loftus at 15:50.
